Dr. Michael Civin’s Education Makes Him Who He Is

It is certainly the case that Dr. Michael Civin has plenty of education to point to, having graduated from Harvard in 1968 with his A.B. degree, cum laude. Following that, he attended the Albert Einstein College of Medicine for a year or so, before going on to earn the first of two Master of Arts degree in 1970. That came from the University of Oregon. He later worked his way to a second M.A., in Clinical Psychology, which he received from the Gordon F. Derner Institute of Advanced Psychological Studies at Adelphi University in 1986.

Not content, Dr. Michael Civin then continued at Adelphi, where he earned a Ph.D. in 1988. He didn't stop there, however, because Dr. Michael Civin also received a medical degree from the Pennsylvania Institute Of Straight Chiropractic with his medical degree in 1988 and he completed a Postdoctoral Certificate in Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy in 1993, In addition he has served as a professor, faculty member, and associate professor at a number of institutions of higher learning and his writing has been published many times, in the form of journal articles and book chapters.

Dr. Michael A. Civin, Ph.D has never failed to pursue an education in psychology in his nearly 30 years in the profession. Early on, he knew education would be a key to getting where he wanted and needed to go. His educational journey started when he earned an A.B. cum laude from Harvard in 1968 and continued at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, before going to the University of Oregon to get his first Masters of Arts Degree. He actually earned a second M.A. from the Gordon F. Derner Institute of Advanced Psychological Studies at Adelphi University, and he earned the right to be called Michael A. Civin, Ph.D. in 1988 when he received a medical doctorate from the same institution, which then awarded him a Postdoctoral Certificate in Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy in 1993.
